Introduction:

ower Flex 40 is the Allen-Bradley 22-COMM-D. One of the communication adapters that the Power Flex 40 supports and makes possible Device Net connectivity is this adapter. It has a mode jumper for multi-drive operation, three (3) LED status indicators, a 20-pin DSI connection, a 5-pin Device Net connector, and node address selector switches. One (1) 22-COMM-D adapter is inserted on a single drive for single drive operation, whereas Power Flex 40 and Power Flex 4 drives are supported for multi-drive operation.
A qualified technician should install the component. Be aware that improper usage of the module might result in injury or equipment damage. After the 22-COMM-D has been reset, the drive might malfunction if the Device Net adapter is sending control I/O to it. The drive cover provides access to the machine’s state. The green light signifies that the drive is operating normally. The adapter is connecting to the drive when a green light starts to flash. If the connectivity is poor, the light will become red; if it is strong, it will remain solid green. Additionally, it has a rate switch or node address for configuring both the network data rate and the node address.
